I posted my first Finish Along list in April 2015 when it was still a “big thing” and hosted on blogland. But even though it switched to @finishalong on Instagram and appears to have died out, I never looked back. I still post my WIP list here on the blog and in a short version on IG. For me it is a very necessary and thus awesome tool – to keep track, to stay motivated… to hopefully, finally reduce the – for me overwhelming – number of WIPs…
Finishes
What I accomplished last quarter
My first “finish” is my part in the QuiltCon Community Outreach quilt. Here is one sneak peek. You can find a few more if you click on the link. As in last years, I took over the role as organizer and designer. This year I also made a few blocks. But besides submitting and answering questions, my role for this project is done. The rest of the tasks fall into the hands of my very awesome group ;)
And just in the nick of time I managed to finished the Tessellation wall quilt for my sisters “new” apartment. They moved in in April so it is officially late. But since I only started pulling fabrics in January and started cutting/sewing in April … I am totally fine with the timeline.

No. 9 – Bright Side I+II
(Q1/2022)
One top done, one stack of blocks finished. Will most likely donate as tops… so I am counting this as one.
For once the number is going down. Wohoo!
And to keep that momentum going, I am joining WIPS-B-GONE 2022 by Leanne @ Devoted Quilter. Running October & November it is a community event to finish any fiber-related project. There are tracker and other downloads available. And I hope for a fun atmosphere and online cheering on. Will you join us?
I hope that whatever your goal was, that you reached it and are happy with your sewing. All the best for the next quarter.
Stay well,
xo Melanie
Yay for a finish and continued progress. Good luck with more finishes these next couple of months!
