No. 8 of my Finish Along List for Q3 is finished!
I used my first vacation day to visit my Dad. As often we planned on going for a walk. So what better than to bring the finished Scrappy Pixel quilt and use the lovely late summer weather to do a photo shot?
I wanted to try quilt pictures in the forest because I saw some on Instagram and had not ever done some myself. So we went to the “Oher Tannen” a forest section we often went to when I was little. I still remember the hill we used for sledding ;)
There were quite a few wood statues that we tried to incorporate into pictures. Fun!
It also became a game to find the next best spot to take a picture.
My favorite picture is of the detail on the mossy forest floor. But the green color on the overview is also awesome ;)
And of course a detail shot of the binding – this time in terms of a rolled-up quilt sitting in some heath.
And because it was so freezing outside we had to cover my aunt during our short break ;)
And last, two more in-action shots of my Dad, who generously played quilt holder this time. He also recorded the short reel I already showed on Instagram.
As usual for all the (progress) pictures and all the information including details of the quilt cost & fabric calculations see the post in the gallery.
Scrappy Pixel is my second finish from July that still needed to be recorded. It took a moment longer than expected but I am so happy with the results. Sometimes good things take a while…
Best wishes
